Fresh out of the depressing cancellation of Community, Gillian Jacobs – who played the loveable misfit, Britta Perry – has been announced to play a recurring character in the forth season of Girls.
This means she’s following in the footsteps of her Community-partner, Donald Glover, who played a small part in the second season of Lena Dunhams HBO-series. Jacobs is said to play Mimi-Rose Howard, and will make her debut appearance in episode five (which is titled, Mimi-Rose).
Earlier today Lena Dunham took to Twitter to tell us they’ve just finished episode 36 of Girls, which means they’ve finished four episodes in the coming season. Maybe we will get to hear more from either Jacobs or Dunham as they begin the shoot for episode five, but either way it’s fun to see the Community-stars get their due. Gillian Jacobs is also in the news with her latest movie, The Big Ask, hitting Video On Demand this week.
